Reality doesn’t have time for me. Does it have time for you?
There is a significant chunk of my development plain not there. My brain went through some pretty nice stretches as it developed without knowing how to integrate myself let alone my children.
These next few lines are crucial. They are from the Book “The Whole Brain Child by Daniel Siegel
“Over time, the connections that result from firing lead to “rewiring” in the brain. This is incredibly exciting news. It means that we aren’t held captive for the rest of our lives by the way we can be healthier and happier. This is true not only for children and adolescwents, but also for each of us across *our* life span.”
Above is a Dahlia on it’s 2nd year with me! I started a bunch from seeds last year and 3 of the 8 I saved over the winter survived! Behind it is a spectrum of morning glories stemming from a treallace to the porch and from the same trellace to another trellace (you could use the word fence instead of trellace).
It shocks me how big it is. I should count how many flowers. On top of those are many buds. They come wtih the most intricate new green – hands – of sorts as if they will gently hold the new flowers when they come.Bumble bees have been spotted in the powdery yellow center of fully alive blooms.
In the middle of reading this crucial excerpt and playing with that corner of Morning Glories was an awesome ride!
I want to remember to share the songlist so I remember but also so the scientific work I’m doing isn’t lost. By scientific work I’m referring to the previous quote because if our brains weren’t plastic, my life might as well be over. How many other brains is that true for?
